release date: march/08/2010 download :press release Pinto– Maiope (Original Mix) I consider this to be the best of the pack, its got groove, its got beat, its got edge! This track sounds simply amazing on a big system. While the other two tracks aim for a deeper vibe, "Maiope" simply gets in your face. The track starts with a punchy bass and a twisted "froggy" fx that grab your attention... this same f/x is modified and twisted making it the anchor sound of the song while the bassline just keeps going and going. This simply works wonderfully on the dancefloor!
Pinto– Mess (Original Mix) Contrary to its title, "Mess" is quite the opposite: a well rounded and balanced deep house track. The track immediately lets loose its main bass along with some floaty deep pads that engage you from the beginning. Some quirky vocal snippets are added as loops to give it more structure and elements, however as the track progresses, synth stabs are introduced for added drama and ambiance. This is simply deep house at its best.
Pinto– Cuadra (Original Mix) Is a little more upbeat than "Mess" however, still is a deep house track. The bass is punchier and some added percussions help it to raise its energy subtly and elegantly. At around the middle of the track a diva vocal just shouts a couple of words, enough to keep you wanting and guessing what's around the next beat bar. Use this track as a good transition when you need to start raising the energy of your deep house set.
Overall, this ep showcases a more organic side from Pinto, who is known as a more twisted, techier producer. Call it trendy, call it deep house... I call this damn good music.
